    Our Story

    The Workshop at J.J. Hat Center produces seasonal collections and custom creations designed by our in-house Milliner. It exists as a culmination of a century long commitment to hand-crafted, quality products. The Workshop provides a place for our customers to work with the design team to create their perfect hat. It also provides our customers with a window into the art of hat-making. Each creation is made on hand turned wooden blocks dating back to the 1800's, and sewn with machines that pre-date our 1911 opening. All hats that carry The Workshop logo are produced 100% in our 5th Avenue workspace.

    Size Chart

    Using a tape measure, measure the widest part of your head (just above the ears and eyebrows) to the nearest 1/8th of an inch.

    If you have not purchased a new hat recently, please remeasure your head, as sizes may change depending on hair style, weight loss/gain, and age.

    Please also keep in mind that hat sizes vary depending on the manufacturer, so if you are unsure of which size to order, please contact us on info@jjhatcenter.com and we’ll be happy to advise.

    If you are in between hat sizes, try this cotton sizing to make adjustments at home.
